ANTIFUNGAL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITIES OF COBALT AND NICKEL METAL COMPLEXES OF P-AMINO BENZAMIDE
Due to their biological significance, coordination complexes have received a lot of interest recently, particularly in the development of long-acting medications with metabolic, antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, herbicidal, and antioxidant properties.1,2 Numerous biological activities are demonstrated by 4-aminobenzamide and its derivatives, including the Mannich base and Schiff base.3,4 They have diverse antibacterial, herbicidal, and antioxidant properties because of their azomethine connection. Due to their use as model compounds in bioinorganic research and their ability to catalyze several processes, Schiff base complexes of 4-ABA have grown significantly in significance.5,6 In the current work, an effort was made to synthesize cobalt and nickel metal chelates using 4-aminobenzamide and thiocyanate ions, which were then examined for their analytical, spectroscopic, and biological properties.
