Guidelines for Book Review

General Guidelines

Book reviews are accepted for submission to the journal through direct submission via email or can be commissioned by the journal editors. Nevertheless, the acceptance of commissioned reviews is subject to the final decision of the editors, which is not guaranteed even after commissioning.
A comprehensive book review encompasses a succinct summary of the book's content and central argument, situates the book within its scholarly context, and evaluates its impact on the field. It should critically analyze the book's objectives and how well they are fulfilled, as well as assess the author's use of relevant sources.
When deciding whether to publish a review, the editor evaluates its analytical rigor, interpretative insights, ability to synthesize information effectively, clarity of exposition, and the depth of understanding demonstrated on the topic.
Reviews sent to the RASAYAN Journal of Chemistry must be original and should not be or have been submitted to other publications.

Length and References

Book reviews are generally expected to be concise, with a maximum length of 3000 words. However, exceptions can be considered for special cases like edited volumes, subject to approval from the journal's editors.
References must adhere to the specific bibliographical guidelines of the journal, which are detailed in their "Author’s Guidelines" section.
Submissions of reviews should include a brief biographical note, with title and affiliation of the author.
