Abstract

The integration of ultrasound technology with three-component synthesis strategies is a notable advancement intheformation of 3-aroylimidazo[1,2-a] pyridine derivatives. The utilisation of green solvents, such as glycerol anddimethyl carbonate, enhances the environmental sustainability of these processes while maintaining a high syntheticefficiency. The ongoing development of these methodologies holds promise as valuable tools for both academicresearch and industrial applications in the synthesis of bioactive molecules. Future research should focus onexpanding the substrate scope, developing additional metal-free catalytic systems, and optimising reactionconditions for maximum sustainability and efficiency. This method employs aldehydes, acetophenone, and2- aminopyridine under mild conditions, offering high yields, operational simplicity, and environmental sustainability. Structural characterisation was performed using NMR and mass spectrometry.
