ECO-FRIENDLY SYNTHESIS OF GOLD NANOPARTICLES AND THEIR MULTIFACETED THERAPEUTIC APPLICATIONS
The biosynthesis of AuNPs was performed efficiently using the bacteria Azospirillum brasilense, making it a greenmethod for producing gold nanomaterials. The characterisation of AuNPs was performed through UV-visiblespectroscopy, FT-IR, SEM, and XRD analysis, which showed that AuNPs are stable spherical particles withaparticle size of about 39 nm. Biological studies found that AuNPs displayed notable antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferation, and anti-angiogenesis properties. Remarkably, the AuNPs exhibited a moderate phospholipase A2(PLA2) inhibitory capacity, when compared to traditional drug diclofenac. In addition, the nanoparticles alsoshowed strong anti-angiogenesis ability. Overall, these results indicate the excellent bioactivity of biosynthesisedAuNPs. This study establishes a foundation for the development of eco-friendly, nanotechnology-based therapeuticswith broad-spectrum efficacy.
